ten things i did on saturday
1) woke up. thank God.
2) talked to sue*
3) watched pirates of the carribean. after running around town to get the earliest possible timeslot cos some woman forgot to buy tix. -grinz-
4) took cab to my grandma's place where she had a surprise bday party. she was surprised i came. literally.
5) sue* was sweet enough to give a happy birthday sms which my grandma couldnt read.
6) played with rifki nafayl. my nephew. who thought i was his father. even when his father was craddling him.
7) confused my two cousin's names. dian and iman. they laughed.
8) i totally forgot about my cousin who was sitting alone at the corner. cos she din look at all like what i remembered her last. plus she's skinny. compared to her siblings. i tot maid mana. im mean but im honest.
9) took the NEL to town. watched a couple of performances.
10) came home. slept.
two memorable things happened.
1) my grandma pestered me about the girl. more than my dad. but then again she got to be a great grandma, and im not the first one to get married. hahaha. well technically. yay. pressure's off.
2) my heart got turned upside down again.
one thing that made me sad today.
while i was tutoring at my boy's place, his grandma was screaming for his aunt. his grandma cant walk u see and his aunt is physically disabled. so i tried to shut out all the screams, so did the rest of the family members. which was quite sad. at that pt of time, i felt like crying. cos the old woman was reciting Al-Fatehah over and over again. asking God to forgive her and give her strength to move her legs. well, she managed to get off the bed and to the living room. i mean it's pretty scary from where i was to be seeing two legs sticking out from the door. no one budged an inch to help the poor lady. then the most ridiculous thing happened. the eldest brother dragged the grandma into the room, screamed at her to stop her nonsense and the old lady cried. the aunt was saying "good. we asked u to keep quiet, you keep screaming". the brother slammed the door, the sister closed the door to the old lady's room and i was jus trying to concentrate on the tuition. i dont know whether to feel angry or sad at the situation.
God, please help that poor old lady out. Forgive her for all her sins as well as the sins of her family members towards her. Provide them with patience and strength in the times to come. Amin.
