mateen atikk haikal and i took a cab to orchid country club from clementi mrt. well we saw the queue so we decided to be bastards and queue further up. well that was a mistake. sometimes things jus hit u back on ur face.

we got a taxi with a rookie taxi driver.

he din noe the way. so atikk sitting in front told the cab driver to go take pie. den we headed off into the opposite direction to KJE tuas. by which i was quite irritated already la. cos he kept asking directions. eh. u taxi driver duno directions. like we know like that. but he was nice lar. sort of. he's 61 but doesnt look 61. more like 40.

apparently he is this one time big shot manager at some company. retired. but kids already giving him money. got bored. so his son decided to play punk and put his dad on the road with little experience in getting to places.

so anyway. along the kje tuas. i decided to take charge. asked the cab driver to take the exit and at least set off to some destination that is heading towards north. so we took the exit at corporation. so heading down towards bukit batok rd. atikk said turn left into kje. which clearly stated kje tuas. WE WERE GOING BACK AGAIN.

grr.

i asked the cab driver to u-turn. but he didnt or couldnt. duno.

so we're back where we're started. saw jjc for the second time. saw my grandma's former house another time. saw my old neighbourhood another time. basically wasting my freaking time lar.

sigh.

so eventually we reached our destination. with the highest amount ever to be recorded on the taxi meter in my life at least.

he said he give discount. den i asked how much. he say how much. atikk say 15. he say okay. so we gave 15 dollars.

this reminds me of the time when f took a cab from pasir ris to city hall. paid an indecent sum. was it 15, f? i cant remember. the cabbie went to hougang and ang mo kio. how the hell it was on the way i dont know. but yeah.
